Crochet around NZ

I literally crocheted my way around NZ… It was a family holiday but when I saw all the beautiful wool… Well! And besides,it was cold, and unlike Perth WA, there was a very genuine need for head warmers. I had taken a few of my faves anyway, but with possum yarn and felted lambswool as well as several hours of travel every other day, what else was I to do! Armed with my set of trusty crochet hooks (yes I packed them!), iPad2 and wifi access at all our accommodation, I had the world of patterns at my finger tips. Ravelry.com provided creative inspiration. The result of all this was 4 new hats/beanies and a ‘puff stitch possum yarn scarf’. Love!
