The end is nigh…

So, the toe section should be looking good and fitting your own foot (at least) or the foot it will be worn by!

The last round finished with a ss in the first sc of the previous round. Begin shaping the heel section as follows:

Heel Row 1 – 1ch, turn your work and 1sc in next 16sc, 1ch, turn.

Row 2 – 1sc in each sc to end (16sc), 1ch, turn.

Row 3, 4 & 5 – Repeat row 2.

Row 6 – 14 – 1sc in each stitch across to last sc, 2sc in last sc (this is an increase of 1sc at end of each row)

If your foot is longer or shorter, adjust the number of rows in the heel section but keep increasing as you go.

Finish off. Fold end in half with right sides together, stich along end to form back of slipper. Sew or weave in the thread. Fold the seam to the inside…

Done!

A final finishing touch is to sc all around the edge. Join yarn at back of slipper & using a 4.00mm hook, sc evenly around heel, sc across front of toe section (1sc in each sc) and then evenly around other side of heel, ss to first sc, finish off and sew in thread.
